“I had the perfect opportunity to become freelance: I had been at the same IT services company for 3 years and I was no longer fulfilled in my job. So, I took the plunge last year and decided to quit. My client of the time wanted us to continue working together. So I jumped at the opportunity to enter the freelance world to continue with them! "
"What I particularly like about this way of life is being able to choose your own missions, not having them imposed on you. Also, not having to work all year round gives me a lot more time for my interests and allows me to discover new things."
“Being able to free up more time for myself by being a freelancer has allowed me to better distribute my time between my professional and personal lives and therefore to be more efficient and more active in my work. By definition, being freelance means being more independent and autonomous, it allows me to shoulder my responsibilities better. I had to learn to develop my network, to continuously train myself and to organize myself better while managing my business.”
“What I like about Comet is the community behind the name.
Unlike other structures—we freelancers are not just considered a resource. Comet is there for us at all times whether we are active or not, to help us whenever necessary. With Comet, I don't have to worry about the administration side of missions. They take care of everything, are quick and help us in the best possible way to get things done."

What are you doing to stay competitive among freelancers?
I keep a regular look out in order to keep myself as up to date as possible. As soon as an opportunity arises, I train myself through platforms like Udemy or by chatting with colleagues.
Do you have side projects or other activities in parallel with work?
One of the projects that I would love to do is to spend a whole year abroad, this would allow me to test freelancing remotely from another country. Then I could share my experience to inspire those who don't dare take the plunge.
In addition I am working on the development of a mobile application but I won’t say more ...;) It’s a great complement to my freelance work because the development of this application allows me to strengthen my technical background and thus stand out from the crowd.
"The slack software channel Comet provides is a real plus! It allows me to be in direct contact with Comet and other freelancers and above all to benefit from everyone’s experience."
